The FDA has just revoked the use of Brominated Vegetable Oil (BVO) in food !

We found it in almost 700 US products !
In total : 13% of food products are at risk of being banned in US States due to additives. Details of our last analysis on additives here: 🔗 https://www.gococo.app/post/food-products-at-risk-of-being-banned-in-us-states

This regulation will be effective 8/2/2024. It's about time, since:
- BVO has long been under scrutiny by the FDA (soap opera details in link below)
- it was included in the California ban passed in 2023
- it was banned in the UK in 1970 and in Europe in 2008.

While you wait for the law to be enforced, manufacturers to reformulate, remove from shelves, or other, the GoCoCo app will highlight products that contain banned additives. So download now to detect them 📲
