This study was discussed by Sandee LaMotte on CNN here: 🔗 https://edition.cnn.com/2024/07/01/health/worst-ultraprocessed-food-early-death-wellness/index.html

Beyond shortened lifespans, ultra-processed food consumption is also strongly linked to chronic illnesses like type 2 diabetes—this study explains the connection. Part of the challenge is that many people still struggle to recognize or admit the role UPFs play in their daily habits. Are we confused, or are we deceiving ourselves?

The recommendation? Eat cooked whole foods.
